The Australian Shakespeare Company presents exciting, accessible and contemporary productions of Shakespeare and other dramatised classics in innovative and unique theatre performances. The company in its current form began life as Shakespeare Under The Stars in 1987 under the directorship of Glenn Elston, who pioneered popular outdoor theatre in Australia. His award winning annual outdoor productions of Shakespeare and The Wind in the Willows have now played to well over a million people throughout the country. YOUNG BARDS UPDATE

Our youth education program Young Bards is going from strength to strength with thousands of school children enjoying our in school workshops and school holiday courses over the past two years. 2012 brings more great opportunities plus a few new ones!

Coming up in the January school holidays are two great 6 day courses for ages 9 to 17 - Shakespeare Mosh Pit 1.0 and 2.0. Enrolments are now open!

We're very excited to announce a new, year long course during term - Introduction to Acting. In a small class of only 16 kids aged 9 to 13 will discover the essentials of movement and voice plus key skills for creating colourful, believable characters. Enrolments are now open!
